Welcome to our new community artist, Alexandra C Keaton, who will be selling her visionary artwork on our website. Alexandra studied at the College of Creative Studies, Detroit, MI. As an illustrator and graphic designer, Alexandra has provided artwork for people and businesses, as well as children’s books and covers. She also uses her skills to teach art classes for inspiring artists of all ages.

Open House Weekend – Children’s Ornament Painting
The Gulfport Arts Center is hosting a children’s ornament painting event as part of their Open House Weekend. Bring your little ones and let them create a one-of-a-kind ornament to treasure year after year. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Social distancing and CDC recommendations will be practiced.

Calling all writers
The Gulf Coast Writers Association meets each month here at the Carnegie Building on the fourth Saturday of each month at 11 am. Each meeting provides an informative guest speaker and an opportunity to network with a great group of supportive fellow authors.
Preservation Toolkit Workshop in Gulfport
The Mississippi Heritage Trust will hold their Preservation Toolkit Workshop in Gulfport July 25th-27th. We are pleased to be hosting them here at the Carnegie Building.
5th Annual Arts & Psalms Summer Art Camp
In conjunction with the First United Methodist Church, we will be holding our 5th annual Arts & Psalms Summer Art Camp the week of June 18th-22nd, 9am-1pm. The camp is open to middle school children ages 10-15.
